Growing up as a ‘Third Culture Kid’, Tanja has called a multitude of very different countries ‘home’, and it has always been difficult to pin down exactly where she’s from.

Tanja has often experienced a sense of rootlessness, of not fitting in, and a feeling of uncertainty.

Throughout her youth, she was an enthusiastic dancer of ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. This was a red thread through her life and gave her a sense of belonging.
